"Oh, okay. Good," Cho said with that sweet smile before she linked her arm with Jason's again and looked around her to see people looking at them and whispering again. She sighed. "Don't you guys have better things to do than stare at people?" She looked back to Jason. "Let's go, okay?" She soon led them down the hallways and towards the doors of the lecture hall. "Hm, well, how about we go get something to eat so we can talk for a little bit? There's a nice little cafe down the street from campus. And afterwards we can just see where the day takes us, okay?" she said before they walked out through the double doors of the hall and down the steps. "So how was your last class?"

This time he was able to ignore at least a little bit of the stares and whispers, but they did still make him a bit nervous. "Yeah, that sounds good to me. Like I said, I really don't know anything about this place, so it's really up to you." He answered her question as they made their way through the building towards the exit. "As for the class, well, it wasn't bad I guess. I had a bit of trouble following along there as well, but I guess I'll just have to talk to the teacher tomorrow or something to try and get caught up. It's going to be really tough, joining the school partway through the semester like this, but I think I'll be able to get caught up."
He was finally able to crack another small smile as he started to get used to walking with her, arm in arm. Though once they got outside, if possible there were even more sideways glances as people walked past them, most of them not even sure who he was, which made their stares even more prominent. His cheeks turned a light shade of pink once more, and now that he was walking side by side with her, he really couldn't hide it at all. "What about yours?" He finally asked, breaking a bit of silence with the question.

"Of course. Leave everything to me. I know where all the best places are to eat, so you can trust me. I'll even show you around the city a little bit, so next time when we go out, you can take me somewhere, okay?" Cho said with a small giggle as they walked, her eyes not leaving his. "Well, most of the teachers here are pretty nice and pretty lenient so you should have no trouble getting what you need from them. Plus, you are a transfer student and new to the school, so they should understand your situation." She unintentionally pressed her side up against Jason's as she walked alongside him, smiling up at the other as they walked arm in arm together. "Mine was okay. It was just literature. We are reading the play Romeo and Juliet from William Shakespeare. It's really fascinating since I've never read it before," she said.

As she informed him that she would show him around a bit, he did manage to relax a little. Having someone to show you around a new place was always a very strong plus. It was the second bit that he wasn't too sure about. Even so, he simply agreed to it, not really thinking too much of it, figuring she was almost saying it as a joke. "Well that's a relief. I would have been in a lot of trouble if they wouldn't be willing to help me out. This is a really tough transition for me. I mean, a lot of things are similar here, but there's still so much that's very different from Earth too." He gave a small sigh, thinking about his life back on earth, not really missing it much, but it was still just what he was used to.
When she pressed her side up against his, Jason instinctively took a half step away so that they were no longer touching. However, he didn't want to seem like he was being rude, so he gradually moved back to where he was, even though he was very much aware now of just how close they were. "Wow, you've really never read it? I had to read it at least three different times back home." Jason commented on her statement about Romeo and Juliet. "What do you think so far?" He was doing his best to make small talk with her, something that was never his strongest ability.

"I can't imagine that it would be an easy thing to transition to. Here and Earth and very two different places, you know, but I'm glad that you are able to find similarities between the two. You will see, though. You will get used to this place as much as you did with Earth and I will help you," Cho said as they walked out of the school, leaving the whispering and looks behind them. "But no. I have never read the play before. I've read others like Hamlet and Midsummer Night's Dreams, but never Romeo and Juliet. So far it happens to be the most romantic thing I ever read. Two crossed lovers coming from contrasting families and falling in love. I find it very brave of them to defy the ties their families have with each other just to be together. It makes me wonder, though, if things will end happily for them."

"Yeah..." Jason muttered quietly as she spoke about Romeo and Juliet. He of course knew how the story ended, and not only did he not want to spoil the story for her, but she seemed to really enjoy the idea of the romance in the story, and didn't want to risk making her upset by telling her how tragic the ending really is. He walked in silence for a little bit, unsure of what to say, before finally asking, "So what kind of food does the place we're going to have? Anything special? Or just regular cafe stuff? Although, I suppose regular cafe stuff here might be different than back home." He let out a small, nervous laugh as his tongue flicked out gently to wet his lips that were drying very quickly from how nervous he had been this entire time, and still was.

The two walked in silence for a little while as Cho led Jason down the sidewalk towards the direction of the cafe. A smile stayed on her lips, finding the silence between them quite comfortable. At hearing him speak to her, Cho turned her head and looked at Jason. "Oh, well the cafe has a variety of things to choose from. They have western food like hamburgers, french fries, and pizza there as well as Japanese cuisine that I think you'll find to your liking," she replied with a light giggle just as they were walking past a flower shop. "Ooh. Wait a second." She stopped and turned with Jason towards the flowers that were in buckets and pails on the floor. She hummed to herself softly and picked up a pink start shaped Asiatic lily before she brought it to her nose and smelled it. She smiled and looked over towards Jason. "They always put fresh new flowers out on Mondays, so I like to come by here and smell them. This one is one of my favorites. Isn't it pretty?"

Jason nodded as she listed off the things that they had, he figured it would be easy for him to find something he would like, especially if they sold things like burgers, that was the type of thing he was used to anyway. When she stopped, it caught him off guard, and he had kept walking a few steps before her arm essentially caught his, and pulled him back a bit. In trying to quickly stop and turn back, he did it a bit too much, and bumped himself into her in the process. "Whoops, sorry..." Thanking the fact that she was already busy with the flower. As she showed it to him, he smiled back. He didn't much care about flowers one way or the other, but he knew girls liked them, so he just nodded and agreed with her. "Yeah, it looks really nice. That's neat that they put them out fresh every week."
The flower really did compliment her well too, if possible she looked even cuter than before with the flower held up to her face. He wasn't quite sure what it was, but it just looked good with her overall appearance.

Cho nodded and pulled away the flower from her nose before she looked back at Jason with a smile. "You know, you don't have to compliment them if you don't like them. Most boys don't appeal to flowers very well like us girls do," she said before she looked back down at the flower and smelled it again. She looked up at hearing a woman's voice speak to her and she looked up. "I would like this one, please," she said and pulled out a coin before she handed it to the woman. "Please keep the change." She looked back towards Jason and turned slightly towards him before she held out the flower towards him. "Here you are. A small gift to welcome you to Maihito. I know it's silly but I don't exactly know what to get as a welcome gift. This way it's something from me to you," she said with a smile.

"No, no! I like it, honest!" Jason replied defensively when she questioned him on it. He watched as she purchased the flower from the woman, and was then caught by surprise again when she offered it to him. Even if it was as a welcome gift, he hadn't been expecting that. With a larger smile than most he had managed so far, he graciously accepted the flower. "Aw, thank you Cho. I don't think it's really that silly at all. It's something that you enjoy, and you are the one really welcoming me here, so it makes sense. He carefully tucked the stem of the flower into a pocket on the strap of his backpack that was made to hold a cellphone, but as he didn't have one yet, it was empty for him. "In fact, I think I will put it in my dorm back at school. I suppose I could use at least something a little feminine in the man cave that I have brewing back there." He gave a small laugh, it was pretty true though. There really wasn't much in his room other than his computer, and the furniture that was provided. It was really bland, the flower, while not very manly, would at least add a little color. "Now I feel I should really get you something too though. To thank you for showing me around." He added, grinning wide as the aroma of the flower, due to how close it was to his head, drifted up into his nostrils.

At seeing Jason brighter than he had before, Cho lightly blushed unbeknownst to her. "Oh well of course. I was happy to do it," she said as she saw Jason tuck the flower into the cell phone holder on his backpack shoulder strap. She couldn't help but giggle at what he said next and step back to his side. "I guess that means that your dorm room is just like any other boys dorm: dull and colorless. We'll have to do something about that." While still holding onto his arm, she led them away from the flower shop but still kept her eyes on his. She lightly shook her head at him saying that he had to pay her back. "You don't have to do that, Jason. This is something I wanted to do on my own, so you should have to give me anything in return. All I'd like is your company today and you're giving me that," she said and smiled up brightly at him.

"Uh-oh. I don't know if I like the sound of that." Jason laughed at her comment on doing something about his room. As she stepped to his side once more, he again was made very much aware of just how close their bodies were as they continued on their way to the cafe. He looked ahead most of the time, as he wasn't sure where they were going, but he did try and glance over in her direction when he could. Usually when his eyes met hers, he would quickly look back foward again and a small smile would curl onto his lips.
"Alright, fine. I guess that will do for now, but I do owe you. You've gone far above and beyond just a simple welcome already, and we only just met."

Cho giggled again and nodded her head. "You shouldn't like the sound of that at all. Guys usually don't let girls in their dorm unless they are friends or they want to get lucky," she said in a matter-of-fact tone voice as they continued on their way. A smile remained on her lips as she walked with Jason across different sidewalks that headed towards the cafe. She would glance at him from time to time and when their eyes met, she noticed that he looked away from her but then smiled. She turned her head to stifle a giggle each time before they finally arrived at the crosswalk that led to the cafe. "Well now that you say it that way, I guess you do owe me a little something," she said and looked up at him with a smile. "How about you be my date for the beach party I am having next week?"

Jason didn't really notice her stifled giggles whenever their eyes did meet, he was too busy feeling incredibly awkward. Here he was, with one of the most attractive girls he'd met, and he couldn't even think of something good to talk about. Not to mention the constant thought in his head of why she would bother being this nice to him, even if he was new. He did his best to shake those thoughts from his head, wanting to just enjoy the day and his new found friendship. When she referenced why most guys would let a girl into their rooms, he blushed deeply, looking away from her and towards the street to try and hide it.
After that comment, he fell silent, thankfully it wasn't much further before they reached the cafe. That was when she shocked him more than even the gift of the flower. "Whoa, what? You want me to...be your date to a beach party?" He questioned, thinking that for sure he must have misheard her, even though at the same time he knew that he didn't. "Wow...well, um, sure. It's not like I could really say no at this point." He replied, before growing a bit flustered at what he had just said, realizing that it could easily be taken the wrong way. "I mean, if I were to even want to." He quickly added, trying to recover before she might take offense to it.

At seeing him blush when she mentioned the part of guys and their dorms, Cho couldn't help but giggle again. Why did she find him blushing so cute? Perhaps it was because she never really met a guy who let his feelings show on his face. "Well, um, yeah. I mean...is it bad that I asked you to go?" she asked as she blinked up at him for a few seconds before she looked off to the side. "You don't really have to go if you don't want to. I'll just go alone. I just thought it would have been a good opportunity for you to meet some nice people. It isn't a big party or anything." She shifted her sea green eyes up and looked into his. "Unless you just want it to be me and you. Would that be better?"
