www.maihito.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=youthboys&action=display&thread=334Jason Collins walked through the relatively empty halls, a confused and nervous look on his face. He felt very alone and a bit afraid, as he attempted to find his class. At least it was much easier to move around now that most of the others had already gotten to their rooms, it was just him and a few of the stragglers and those that were running late. He had looked up the layout of these buildings and gone over his schedule numerous times on his computer back in his dorm, but actually being here in person was an entirely different story. He looked back down at the map he had printed out, comparing it to the room numbers he had scribbled on the side of it, but the place was just so large. "Hey kid, you lost?" He heard a voice, and looked up to see it's source. An older student stood by a water fountain, looking at him with a warm smile. Jason simply nodded, and the older student strode over to take a look at his map and class numbers, chuckling a bit as Jason told him which class he was trying to find. The older student gave him instructions on how to get there, and before Jason could even give a proper thanks, he was heading down the hall in the opposite direction. He glanced down at his watch and groaned, running late to his first ever class here at Senya Kaime. Jason had already arrived on the campus about a week ago, the school officials had given him a weeks time to get accustomed to living here in Maihito and on this campus, as all of it was a brand new experience for him and the semester had already begun. He didn't make much use of it though, as he still didn't really know anybody here, and had only even left his room a few times outside of going to get meals. As he entered the class, he found to his dismay that the teacher had already begun, and was forced to stop at his arrival. "Can I help you?" The man asked, obviously not recognizing Jason as one of his students. "I-I'm Jason Collins, the new transfer student..." He stammered out, his face flushing a light shade of red as he could feel the eyes of everyone on him. "Ah yes, Jason. Everybody, this is Jason Collins, a transfer student from Earth, so he is not only new to Senya Kaime, but also to Maihito in general. Please make try to see to it that he has a strong welcome and smooth transition. Jason, you may take the empty seat in the third row there." The teacher introduced him to the class, and pointed to one of the few empty desks in the room. Still blushing a bit as he made his way to his seat and unpacked his things, he could feel the eyes upon him the entire way. It wasn't until he was seated that the teacher started the class up again, and most of the students turned their attention back up front.

A young woman with long brown hair was sitting in her seat by the window in the third row and looking out the window at the birds that were chirping outside and fluttering around. Her sea green eyes watched as they danced around each other, causing her soft lips to turn up into a smile. She had only been temporarily distracted while the teacher was up at the class lecturing, but perhaps that was because she was lost in her thoughts which was rare for her when she's supposed to be paying attention. It wasn't until the door of the classroom opened that she turned her head and saw a student with dark brown hair bluish grey eyes. So this was the new transfer student that was being put into their class. Her smile continued to stay curved on her lips and she couldn't help but stifle a giggle that threatened to escape her lips at seeing the student named Jason make his way to his seat. Her eyes followed him as he made his way down the aisle and to the empty seat beside her. She looked forward towards the front of the room and continued to take down her notes. "Don't mind him. He's nice once you get to know him," her soft whispered to Jason as her eyes turned towards him.

Jason finally let the corners of his mouth curl up into the beginnings of a smile as he heard the girls voice from his left. He had admittedly been looking around at who was near his own seat, and was quite pleased to note that there were quite a few cute girls sitting near him, including her. He started to try and take down notes, but it was difficult as he wasn't entirely sure what the discussion was even about, having joined not only mid semester, but after the class had already started. He groaned as he realized he would likely need to contact each of his teachers outside of school hours to try and get acclomated. Something he should have done during the week he was given.
"I don't know, he seemed pretty nice already. Back home, I would have gotten in pretty deep trouble for showing up this late to class." Jason replied to the girl, turning his head just a bit to glance in her direction, his eyes meeting hers briefly. "Though maybe it's just because I'm new." He kept his voice very quiet, not wanting to disrupt the class further.

Cho stifled a soft giggle, looking up briefly at the teacher whose back was turned to them. "Well, yes. I suppose you are right. He could have been a lot stricter with you showing up late. He doesn't exactly like it because he gets in the zone when he's teaching," her soft voice said as her lips curved into a soft smile, her fingers still moving away as she took her notes. "I am Cho by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you, Jason."

Jason tried to listen to both what the cute girl next to him was saying as well as follow along with the teacher, but due to already being a bit lost on what he was saying, he found his mind focusing more on the whispers from next to him. He gulped a bit as she explained that he usually doesn't like students showing up late, as that would mean that most teachers probably wouldn't be quite as nice as he had been. And he still wasn't completely sure of where the rest of his classes were. He tried to look up at the teacher as he wrote on the board to take notes, but his hand simply wasn't writing. He just held his pencil above the paper, hovering there without moving much.
He finally gave up on trying to follow along with the lecture, figuring he would just be able to catch up on where the class was when he went to speak with the teacher after classes today, or tomorrow. He turned his head to the side again to glance at Cho as she introduced herself. "Nice to meet you as well." He returned her soft smile with one of his own, his eyes quickly traversing up and down her body when she glanced away. He glanced back up to the teacher and scribbled down a few of the words he had written on the board, but that was all that was on his paper. Unable to really follow along, he simply began to draw random doodles until the class was over.

Cho's smile lightly widened and nodded at Jason before she looked away and back at the teacher writing on the board. It didn't take much longer for the class to finish before the bell went off. The students started to get up from their chairs and start to chatter amongst themselves. Cho slowly got up and stretched her arms above her head, her shirt hiking up a little to reveal her black and pink butterfly tattoo across her lower back. She walked around her desk and leaned against it to face towards Jason. "If you would like, I could lend you my notes for this class. I know it's going to be hard to catch up with everything, but I am a very detailed note taker so you should have no problem with catching up," her gentle yet sweet voice said as she smiled at Jason, crossing her slender legs one over the other as she leaned against the desk.

When the bell did ring, Jason looked down at his paper, not covered in random scribbles and drawings. He glanced over at Cho, just as she was stretching and caught sight of the tatoo on her back. He didn't really think anything of it though at the time. He started to toss his things back into his backpack, leaving his map of the building out so he could try and find his next class, when Cho came around her desk and offered to let him use her notes.
"Really? That would be amazing! Thank you so much." He replied, excited that she was so friendly. And he had noticed the way she took notes during class, and she did seem to be very thorough, that would help him a ton. "Um, what time are you done with classes today? Maybe we could meet up afterwards?" He asked, blushing a little bit as he glanced down towards the floor, pretending to be looking in his bag, but he was really just trying to hide his nervousness. He also couldn't help but catch a glimpse of her long legs as she crossed them over one another. "Oh, and, uh...I only have one more class, it's in room B322, do you know where that is?" He asked, pointing to the map he had, his eyes locked on the piece of paper.

Cho tilted her head to the side and smiled cutely at Jason. "You're welcome. Everyone really comes to me when they aren't in class because I take such thorough notes, but I guess that's kind of weird that I do that, huh?" she said and turned slightly back on her desk to grab her things and put them in her book bag. At hearing him ask if she wanted to meet up after their classes, Cho looked back over and strapped her bag onto her shoulder. "Sure. That sounds nice, actually. It's been a while since I went out anywhere. I always work and study most of the time, but since I don't work today, I guess I could go out and have some fun." She slid herself off of her desk and stood up. "I only have one more class, too, and yours happens to be right next to mine so we can walk together," she suggested. "Do you want to?"

Jason bit his lower lip a bit as Cho talked about going out somewhere and having fun. He hadn't actually intended his question to seem like that, he just meant to meet up after class so he could borrow her notes. He wasn't about to go telling her that though. He may not have the best social life or be the most outgoing person, but if a girl as attractive as her wants to hang out, you don't argue with it. Still, it just made him all the more nervous. "Huh? Oh, uh, yeah. Sure." He stammered a little bit as she asked if he wanted to walk together, his mind still caught up in what they would actually do once they each finished their next class.
"Well I guess you better lead the way. Otherwise we're just going to end up both being late as I struggle to find my way around this place." He gave a short laugh as he finished gathering his things and slung his bag over his shoulders, waiting for her to head out first.

Cho couldn't help but lightly giggle at what Jason said. "You're funny, you know that?" she said with a smile. "But you're right. Let's go." She turned slightly on her heel and started walking down the aisle. She waved at her friends on her way out of the classroom. "Bye guys. See you later," she said and gave them all a small wave. Whispers started to go about the room as everyone looked at Cho and Jason. A few groups of guys looked in Jason's directions and lightly scowled. "Lucky bastard," one of the males uttered. "I've never walked with Cho before," another said.

He was very much aware of the looks that people were giving them as they walked out of the room, and it just made him feel even more uncomfortable. His face was beginning to flush a light shade of red as he heard the whispers on his way out the door, his eyes pretty much staring at the ground, as if making sure not to trip over his own feet. Apparently he had just inadvertently set up a date of sorts with one of the more popular and attractive girls in the school. "Thanks again for helping out." He said in something barely more than a mumble as they got on their way.

Once they were out the door, Cho looked back at Jason with that same sweet smile that she always had and took a few steps back so she could walk with the male. "Oh it's no trouble at all. I don't mind helping since it's on the way to my own class," she said and linked her arm with Jason's as they walked, causing whispers as they walked by the students of the school. "And by the way, please don't pay attention to all that whispering and such. Everyone just wants to find something to gossip about and spread across the school, but don't worry about it, 'kay?"

Nothing that Cho was doing was helping to calm Jason's nerves. It was all having the exact opposite effect, but he was trying to hide it as much as he can. It was still painfully obvious as she hooked her arm in his. "Yeah, I'll uh...try not to..." He muttered quietly, still biting his lip a bit.
For the most part he stayed very quiet as they walked, unable to take her advice and ignore the whispers as they went. When they finally got to the classrooms, he thanked her once more, and then quickly darted inside of his class. He was too distracted to pay much attention in this class either, his mind still stuck on what exactly he would be doing afterwards. Of course, now the time seemed to fly by, and before he knew it the bell rang again, and he was packing up his things, and heading out the door to meet Cho again.

Time seemed to have come and gone as the two students were in class with their peers. Cho had taken thorough notes like she always did and before she knew it, she was packing up her stuff and strapping her book bag onto her shoulder. Like she had done before, she waved goodbye to her friends in that class and walked out. She closed the door behind her and looked to the right to see Jason. She smiled and walked over to him. "Hi there. You weren't waiting long, were you?" she asked as she just off to the side of him.

"No, not at all. Only a minute or so really." Jason told her as she approached him. He let his eyes scan her over once again, and the butterflies in his stomach immediately began to flutter again. Now that his classes were done, his mind allowed him to really take in her appearance, and this was definitely a girl that he would usually not even talk to for how far out of his league he figured she would be. But here they were, and she had essentially been the one to initiate it.
"So, uh, what should we do?" He asked, glancing around to see some of the others from her class leaving and giving long hard looks at the two of them as they did. "I really don't know anything about the area, or even the campus." He admitted, adjusting the position of his bag on his back.
