Yao had come a long way from the hole he called home... But this was his job, so he had no choise. Plus it was kind a fun to just travel without worry. He had to take care of his own meals, but luckily, the farmers he usually met in his way always gave him some dinner and lunch to go on the next day when he had to keep moving again. Being strong and full of energy as he was, he didn't tire of traveling like this at all. Instead, he found it a lot of fun. He got to see so many different kinds of people and creatures and experience different cultures.... Well, that, and taste all kinds of different foods but that OF COURSE was not the main point why he became a long distance delivery man. Or at least not that he would admit it if asked.
But enough of chatter about his past, motives and such... Since his stomach was growling. He had never been in a city as big as this.... usually he just visited some farming villages. The crowds.. So many people, it scared him. Yao could not understand how people survived like this, a big place, yet it was filled to the brim with people. Being... A man of few words as he was, he didn't know how to ask around for the place he was supposed to deliver these letters to. Yao was actually still just learning to speak, since before he hadn't had anyone to talk to. Well, not that he could remember anyway. His past was clouded in his mind, and it tended to make him sad.... He could remember a gentle voice of an older woman, and the golden hair of a younger one but... Their faces were the ones he could no remember.
Yao was now hiding in some alley, though very close to the street so he could see the people passing by. He was scared of crowds, because he was afraid of being alone with a lot of people he did not know. If only he had even ONE person he knew here... But everyone ignored him completely, probably assuming he was a homeless person or something. Suddenly, Yao screamed out in pain as someone accidentally stepped on his tail. He quickly pulled it back when the person pulled his leg away. "Owowowww..." Yao whimpered, licking the tail and looking up at said person, all teary eyed. Hey, the tail of a troll was sensitive, of course he'd cry!

Keme had chased some fool off whom had dared to try to drag him into this dirty back alley for some 'fun'. The person had ran over the tail of another creature, not that the phoenix seemed to care much about it. Keme was not truly a cruel person, he just kept to himself, and often thought himself better than those around him. Looking down at the creature that seemed to want to cry due to the fact the tail had been stepped on. He recognized the creature, he had seen them around his mountain home land before.. trolls.. simple minds they usually had, though he had met a strangely bright one once before. How odd, to see one out here, but how odd it must be to see a phoenix if the creature could see that about him. Keme was debating on whether or not even say something to teh creature. Most would think his eyes cold, but ones who could actually see, would notice the hurt, the loneliness, the want for some sort of companion, it was turmoil in his eyes... painful really. Turning away Keme started to head back to the side walk..

Before he had a chance to leave, the troll grabbed his sleeve. If there was one bad thing about trolls it was their nose... He could tell Keme was special, last of his kinds... Aka something the troll had not seen before and it got him curious. He managed to control himself however, when he remembered his duty. He was not here on some vacation, he was here for a job! He quickly took off his backpack and showed some letters. "Ma-Maysons." He managed to mumble out, not very good at pronouncing. That along proved that he had not only lived alone until now, but also just recently found people who actually used words for communication. As for what he said. Maysons was actually a small shop not far from here... But the troll looked like he'd get lost the instant he walked around the corner.
The troll hissed a little and looked at his tail. Oh yeah, he could feel it pulsing... It was a bruise if nothing else. "Maysons!" He said again, this time a bit louder as he was sure of what he was supposed to say. "Deliver... Letters, Maysons." he said, not sure if his rambling made any sense to this exotic looking creature. Something about him... Yao could smell the bird on him, but what kind of a bird, it was hard to tell. He certainly was no angel, nor did he have that burning scent of a phoenix. "Bird?" he asked as he looked at the man, tilting his head a little.

The moment his sleeve was grabbed his head turned, his eyes locked onto the creatures. A warning in them telling the other to let go, he never liked that arm being grabbed.. it was the wing that was injured..a pulled muscle, and a fracture.. the strength in it was not back up, he never let it heal correctly.. he over worked it.. never seeming to learn to not fly, but it was instinct that drove him to fly. Quirking a eyebrow the moment a name left the troll's mouth. Was he speaking of the shop? It would certainly make since, it was two buildings down, terribly close to the two. Uninterested he went to leave when the male repeated himself louder... Groaning as he looked back, unaware the other was well aware he was not a human.. he could pass for elf though. "The shop is two buildings to the left" he said, simply without interest. Till the male said 'bird'. "What of it?" he asked, looking strangely at the creature and stepping away from him. Unsure if the troll was the sort that was common, the foolish type, or one of the rarity's he knew from his childhood. Making a very slight motion to the other he led him to the shop, placing a hand on his hip. It was a cold day to most, but to him it felt rather nice, even so he wore a loose white jacket, over a white shirt, and a pair of skinny faded blue jeans.

Yao smiled happily as he was being led around now, sticking rather close to the other though. He could feel the others questioning stare. "No crowd... No like." He said, looking around nervously. He felt like he was being squeezed into a small, tiny insignificant little piece of trash and trampled by people here. Yao was, strangely enough, nto put off by Kemes cold attitude. It was more like he didn't even notice how the other was treating him like he was just a major drag. That, or he simply did not read too much into it like others seemed to do. Yao was, after all, very simple and didn't like reading too much into people.
As soon as they reached the shop, he turned around and smiled brightly. He reached into his bad, searching for something. As he found it, he handed it over and ran into the shop with a quick squeak that sounded like 'thanks'. What he had handed over was a nearly crushed cookie in a small plastic bag... Well, it was... Uh.. A gift, of some sorts. Guess the troll didn't have much to pay back with, yet still it was in their blood to repay kind deeds, no matter what the helper himself had to say about it and their silly gifts.

Something had been shoved into his hands and he looked down at it, raising a eyebrow then shaking his head. Sighing and when he turned around, a hand pushed him up against the front class of the shop. "Remove your hand" he growled, at the person in front of him. Keme detested this person, as they often tried to force them-self on him, as if they believe he should be interested in them. "Why would I do that?" the person asked with a smirk, as they tried to push up against his body. Keme attempted to shove the man off of him but to his anger he was not able to do so. "Oh stop your pathetic attempts!" The person closed a hand around his throat and squeezed, trying to make Keme pass out. Finding that would be the quicker way to go abotu it... sadly with the hour it is, this street is rather empty of all the normal bustle of a city. Struggling to get free eh had jerked a leg up and hit the guy right in the groin. "Stupid creature!" the man shouted and struck Keme causing him to stumble.. the man struck him again. Keme returned a blow, but strangely left a nasty, burn on the man that caused the man to scream in pain... then the male pulled a gun..

And thats when Yao suddenly appeared in between them, as if he had teleported there. It was like everything was in slowmotion... First, Yao stole the gun with one powerful tug that nearly broke the offenders trigger finger... And then snapped it in half. Trolls were of course rumored to be strong, but ONLY nordic trolls were THIS strong. Some said that a nordic troll was never aggressive, but rather drew it's power from sheer force of will, and the need to protect or save someone. Kind, but still fearsome creatures.
His movement never stopped as he shoved the man a bit, just enough to get his feet off the ground... And as he hovered in the air, Yao dealt the finishing blow, punching him so hard that he flew across the street, smashing into a wall. Since the offender was no human himself, he still managed to get up and limb away, of course confused and in panic of what kind of a truck just hit him.
Then, just as suddenly the aggressive, dangerous troll had appeared, it was gone the second Yao turned around and looked at Keme. He looked shocked, a bit afraid and worried as he looked him over, looking for any injuries. "No hurt...?" He asked softly, gently feeling his neck as he could see it bruising a bit already. "Hurt...." He said softly... Oh he SO wanted to chase after that bastard, but he had decided not to... Instead, he'd stay close to Keme now.

Stepping back quickly as suddenly the troll had seemingly teleported to get in the way of this.. argument. Stepping back a bit more as he watched what the fight play out, finding it rather amusing. Now, he had seen trolls fight before, but in most cases they were not seemingly so strong... him on the other hand, well he was never one to be the strongest.. he can carry heavy weights for long distances. He can fight, and fight very well, but that does not mean he is strong. As he watched the man suddenly fly across the street, he wondered if he had momentarily gotten lost in his own thoughts. Now, would be a good time to leave, and yes the male left, but not him.. he figured it was a well enough time for himself to get lost. About to do so when he suddenly he was spoken to, flinching and stepping quickly back as the other reached out to him. A natural response after someone just had another attempt to choke them.. "I am fine" he said, a bit distractedly as he turned and walked off, deciding now would be a good time to go home... perhaps even fix something to eat. Keme may not have said it, but it certainly had shown in his expression long enough, he was glad the troll intervened. To many run ins have been occurring lately, and not just for him... for other creatures.. Those bastards must be back, looking to take creatures of rarity. It made him debate if the place he currently was, was safe any longer. Perhaps it was not, but he was uncertain if leaving would truly fix the issue.. Complex as it is when one is rare, it is worse in his mind when one must always run.

Keme, sure enough, made it home before a squeak could be heard behind him just as he reached the front door. Right behind him was the troll, staring up at him with big puppy eyes. "Hungry..." he whimpered a little. If there was one thing Yao knew how to do, it was to beg for food. Not that he liked doing so, because he wanted to take care of himself... But there were no forests here that he could hunt from, no lakes to fish from... He needed money, which he didn't have because he always lost it... Thus he was getting paid by everyday items that he could not carve from wood or get himself, like knives, salt, other metal objects...
But enough of his pay. As he was a delivery man, he had to take care of his own food. Usually traveling around with no plan for it worked out well, because farmers were usually generous, or then he traveled around areas where there were a lot of forests or lakes to get food from himself... Here in the city however, he was completely out of his element, and almost cruelly left on his own by the shopkeeper who could have at least given the boy something to eat. He was obviously starving, with his stomach growling loudly. "Food...?" he asked carefully, not sure if this proud male would lower himself to feed something that could be compared to a stay dog... even if said stray had just saved him.

Being as lost in his thoughts as he was, he had not actually bothered to see if something, or someone followed him. Unlocking his door, he suddenly heard... stiffing he spun around so quickly it was startling. The house of the phoenix showed he had money... and more than enough of it... despite being a teacher, he must have inherented something from his parents. Looking carefully at the boy with his golden eyes, appearing to examine him, then shockingly those cold eyes grew warm. Like a fire that one would be welcome to warm them-self by. Opening his door, he motioned the boy inside without a question passing his lips. Stepping in behind the troll he locked the door once more, and oddly the house was very inviting, not something seen typically in the city. It was comfortable, elegant and beautiful to be in, and yet it could easily fit in, in the country without trying. Heading towards his kitchen he poured a glass of green tea for the troll, "Sit" he said, simply motioning to the bar area that was in the kitchen. Putting the glass before it, he examined the troll, debating on what he would eat. After a few moments he decided to make crispy salmon... After everything was ready to be made, he took out two filets of salmon, one for him, one for the troll... And rolled them up, skin side facing out. Placing the rolled up salmon fillet on a cutting board, and scoring the skin crosswise about one half inch deep. Keeping his cuts close together to get extra crispy salmon skin, and scoring the entire length of the two salmon filets. Scoring the salmon filets prevented it from curling while they cooked, ensuring they would cook nice and evenly. Opening each score and sprinkling salt into the cuts. Keme added fresh basil and a hint of rosemary at this point, glazing the top of the salmon fillets with olive oil. Heating a heay skillet over a medium high heat, and adding olive oil when the pan is hot. Adding the salmon, skin side down, as soon as the oil began to lightly smoke. Keeping his fingers ontop of the salmon fillets for a bit to keep it nice and flat. Seasoning the top of it with salt, and then did not touch it anymore. Watching the filets, and turning it, when it has colored two thirds of the way up the filets. Cooking them for another minute or so, watching teh color. Keme then removed the pan from the heat, flipped the salmon back to the skin side, and let it rest a minute. All this while he was also making a potato crab salad... He had heated olive oil in another large sauce pan, added the boiled, peeled potatoes to the olive oil, cooked them briefly to lightly heat the potatoes. Removing them from the heat and crushing teh potatoes with a fork. "What is your name?" he asked, curiously in the middle of this. Chopping up green onions, and added them to the potatoes. Seasoning the potatoes, giving the troll one if he wanted to eat something while he waited, lightly with salt and pepper, adding the crab meat, and mixed it all together. Adding a healthy amount of vinaigrette dressing, and then chopped up some parsley. Mixing it all together and he was done, putting it all on two plates and deciding they would eat at the bar. Grabbing two forks, napkins, and refilling the boys cup with grin tea or water.. or whatever he wanted.. Green tea for himself.. "you should like it really" he said, motioning to the food as he waited to see..

Yao followed him inside, looking around. His tail started to lash lightly, indicating that he was very curious and probably wanted to explore the whole house. He held his curiosity though, as Keme gave him some tea and motioned him to sit down. Yao actually ran to the bathroom first, washing hit feet and changing his pants to cleaner ones... He was a mess, since he hadn't bathed in a while again, and he didn't want to mess up the house of the one kind person in the whole city. Well, sure there probably were more people like him, but they were hard to find.
After that, he sat down and watched the other cook. He used so many different things for cooking... Yao was just used to starting a fire and holding the fish over it until it was done. Granted it was a little TOO simple, seeing as he needed a lot more than just one fish to eat, but he was no cook. Oh lordy if Keme only knew how bad Yaos diet actually was, he would probably lock the boy up and not let him go anymore. At least not without a proper plan for food. Yao just happened to be very simple, he couldn't help it... That, and he sucked at handling money.
"Yao." Yao answered once he was asked his name. "Yao Summers..." He added, smiling softly. Oooh that fish smelled good. His tail was lashing behind him again, curling a bit whenever he breathed in that awesome scent. Keme was a good cook, he had to admit that. As he was given food, he took a small bite, chewed and swallowed... Then he blushed softly as his tail stood up behind him and curled. Oh he was delighted beyond measure. He couldn't find the proper word to describe how good it was, so he just made a very pleased face and purred a little while he ate. Yes, trolls could purr, though it was usually hard to hear it.

It was only time for lunch, so it was likely he would end up cooking more for dinner, depending upon whether or not the other left.. Keme was managing well enough with the idea, it did not entirely matter to him one way or the other. Being it was break, and he had nothing else to do at the time. If nothing else, he was bound to get lonely and just not wish to admit it, though perhaps others could tell more than he liked. Glancing over when he heard the first time, when he heard the last... he actually seemed to smile a very small, yet sweet, smile. A little time had passed and the food had been served, he started eating after the other. Glancing over as he swore he heard something, looking over the male quickly, finding it was highly likely the other was enjoying himself. Perhaps it was wiser to tell the other his name, to avoid any sort of nickname he may, or may not end up wanting. "I am called Keme Niyol" giving his full name to the other, certainly the other knew how to tell when this was done. Sipping the tea, and just waiting to see what would happen next. Anything and everything, knowing how his luck seems to have been lately. Minus that, the kid in his class that keeps flirting with him, should stop.... Pulling from this thought and back to his current situation, and lack of conversation. Keme was silent until he was done eating, waiting patiently for the other to be done, before taking the plates, and glasses and washing them, putting them away. After which he motioned for the other to follow him to the bathroom."You need a good washing" he said, under his breath as he could certainly tell the other had not done so in awhile. Thinking about what the other likely knew, he ran a nice warm bath for the other male.

Oooh did Yaos face drop when he heard the word wash. Sure he wanted to keep clean, but he was still a troll! Meaning he was not exactly a huge fan of baths and soap. Trolls liked to keep themselves messy most of the time, given how they lived in a hole underground... So why bother washing up when you slept in dirt anyway? But then again, he WAS in Kemes house now, and while he stayed here he had to be clean. Yao crossed his arms looking thoughtful as he nodded to himself. It was decided, he would endure this bath! If for nothing then for good manners sake.
He stood next to Keme, staring at the slightly steaming water and swallowing a bit, his tail twitching and lashing a bit. Oh he was nervous alright, but Keme would be here... Lord knows Keme would not leave him alone to bathe, because he wouldn't. That much was obvious. He gave Keme one last 'please no' look, but knew it was ignored without a second thought. Thus, he undressed from his strange clothing... Now, Yao was not exactly the most buff guy out there, seeing as he was actually more tall and skinny... But now you could see his muscles were actually really showing, even though he looked so slender with clothes on.
They were... Sharp, to use the closest word to describe it. He looked very good nevertheless, with his lightly tanned skin. He even had a few tattoos here and there... Or were they birthmarks? They were just messy, random lines that looked like runes. One on his left hip, and another on his right shoulderblade, reaching down to his tail, across his back. Yao blinked as he noticed how Keme stared at him. "Yao go in...?" He asked, squirming a bit and staring at the water. He knew he had no choice, but ANYTHING to avoid it as long as possible. Though the thoughts of being washed by Keme did sort of make him blush a bit.

Keme had not entirely meant ot stay in here, but when the other had removed the clothing, he was rather certain he was expected to stay. It did not trouble him, he was used to it actually, considering he had grown up in a flock... Good thing he was used to it, very good thing apparently. Glancing to the other after he turned the water off, he had a feeling the troll would put this off, if anything, it was because of those pouting looks that were directed at him. Considering for a moment what he had saw on the other,t hose tattoos, he was covered in them him himself, his right side.. So difficult to miss, and it seemed meaningless to those who would look, but perhaps others understood. "Now" he said, when questioned if Yao had to go in. Yes, yes he did, because one way or another, he did not want to smell whatever he was smelling... okay, he is one to be talking, the scent he has is erotic if anything, considering for about a week... heat.. joy.. yes, he shoudl not be talking about 'smells'. He hates it, he truly despises, but with the season, it won't be nearly as often... so he hopes. Patiently he waited for Yao to get into the water, once he was, he let the troll relax while he got up to get a wash rag.. might as well, because something was nagging him at the back of his mind, that the troll would not do it himself. Once he returned, he grabbed the rose smelling soap, and almost like a massage, began to wash the troll's upper body. As far as he cared, the troll was dealing with the other half on his own. Keme did not plan to get into that bath himself, he would shower after this...

Yao pouted a little as he was told that yes, he would have to step into that water, and yes, he would have to wash off ALL the dirt that he had on him. Oh his hair would shine like snow after this... Right now it was sort of white with a lot of grey stripes... But once it would be washed, it would be white as snow. Strangely enough, both fit him very well. A bit hesitatingly, he stepped into the water and sunk down. Well.. It felt kinda comfy to wash up in warm water for once. And then Keme rubbed the soap on him. Ooh the scent was almost too much to handle... So strong and wonderful.
The look on the trolls face was priceless. He was in heaven right now, all because of some warm water, and a rosey scent. He snapped out of it for a bit, as he squickly handled washing his lower parts... He didn't spend too much on it though, since he didn't want to wash up too well. Not that he needed to, the water already cleaned him more than enough, with the soap in the water and all. He looked up at Keme and smiled. "No join?" he asked and tilted his head. "Wash back." He said and pointed at himself, meaning he'd wash Kemes back for him if he joined Yao in the bath...
