Waking up as something was tapping repeatedly against his foot. Looking at the troll, growing stiff for a split second before relaxing once more. "Fine" he said, moving Yao off of him and heading to the kitchen. Seeing what time it was... "oh..." it was time for dinner anyway, so he thought briefly about it. It was cold outside so he decided on spaghetti with seafood veloute, a seafood salad, and chocolate marquise for desert. If the boy was still hungry later he could always make something else. Once everything was set on the table, he finished making the ice tea and poured two glasses. Having a feeling Yao would not have strayed far from him, he did not bother calling for him. Setting down where he usually did, and waiting on the other to try the food, he was not certain as to what he would like, and what he would not.

Yao had been furiously washing his hands, until he was sure they were clean... He did not understand too well that soap did actually clean his hands well enough, so he wouldn't have needed to scrub them so hard... But he did anyway, before walking to the kitchen and sitting down. As he tried the food, his tail started curling in a familiar way again, as the low purr sounded. "Keme is awesome~" He purred as he continued to nom on his food, eating it slowly so he could enjoy it more. He really did love Keme's cooking... But he liked the look on him more when he was praised for said skill.
He could tell, Keme liked it when Yao was so happy while eating food that he had cooked. Guess anyone would be happy to make the troll actually enjoy their cooking, instead of wolfing it down like trolls usually did. Yao looked up at Keme and smiled sheepishly, gently swinging his legs under the table.

Yes, the phoenix tended to be proud that he was able to cook as well as he is... It was something he had learned when he was still with his flock, something he had been expected to learn, it had not been optional on his part, though it had paid off in the long run. Looking to the male when he heard the purring, knowing well that meant Yao was finding he liked teh food once more. Leading him to believe there was a strong chance the troll was not a peaky eater. Smirking softly and returning to his own plate, that look in his eyes would have been difficult to miss. Pride, could be one way to describe it. Feeling the eyes one him once more while he was eating, briefly he looked back to the troll, with one of those questioning looks. Turning his gaze away from him and quietly eating his own meal. Not entirely certain what he could talk about, only used to conversations with people whom.... well, know a good deal more it would seem. Though there were few people that Keme has even considered being with, but there are those whom he does enjoy speaking too. Mostly for the sake of having something to do and not always being alone. Yes, even a proud phoenix gets lonely, despite what some people might think. Brushing his hair back over his shoulders briefly, pulling out of all his thoughts of such things.
